Please Do Not Take the Risk of Hiring

I hired & put my trust in Angela Brown to represent me in a high-profile felony case because she had been recommended by a friend. Upon hiring and after taking the initial payments to retain, she immediately started to lack her obligations as my attorney. During a crucial time of garnishing any sort ...of discovery, I'd go weeks without any form of communication with her even though I would be reaching out via phone or email. I had to explain to her in great detail that time was of the essence regarding us obtaining any discovery evidence that could be helpful to my case. I saw her face-to-face only once in an 8-month span and had never once sat in her office. In the 4th month of me hiring her, I finally convinced her to file a motion with the courts on my behalf. She eventually did file the motion, but she filed it under the wrong name as well as the wrong set of bond stipulations that I didn't have. Afterwards, I had my initial court date in which I went to appear. Once I got to court, Angela was a No-Show...I called her up to 30 mins of my appointed hearing to no avail. She eventually Texted me stating that she was in another county in court and that my hearing had been cancelled until a later date. She had failed to inform me! Finally, in the last month of her representation I was eventually indicted. She didn't realize that it had occurred, which eventually leading her to not inform me until a month after the indictment was issued. It was horrendous and lacked any professionalism. Angela Brown, simply put I should not have hired her concerning the Seriousness and Severity of my Case. If I had known the Distinct Level of the Lack of Professionalism up front, I would have went a different route with another attorney. After losing close to $8500 in dealing with Angela, I did eventually hire a different attorney and when we asked Angela to forward any of the discovery evidence, she withheld the info for up to three additional months. In the end, (over a year later) I eventually was Acquitted of All Charges with my newly hired attorney. I would not recommend Angela Brown to anyone...but Not out of Spite. I'm not disgruntled about my experiences because it eventually led me to the right attorney that I truthfully needed. My review is given so that I can help someone else who my decide to Put Their Trust in her without fully knowing how difficult of a situation she put my family in by not fulfilling any of the obligations she was hired to perform.

Don't Hire This Lawyer

very unprofessional and incompetent about the law. Did not return phone calls and wanted me to pay money but provided no services. Very unethical and and she threaten me if I did not pay her money

The Best Lawyer I have ever had

Ms. Brown was extremely helpful and compassionate in my case. She helped me deal with each of the family law issues and was very professional. Her office staff was very helpful in getting me answers if the attorney wasn't in the office. I had a previous attorney who took my retainer and blew through ...it and then got mad when I wanted a bill. Ms Brown was not all about the money and she knew her stuff and was very professionally. She is a Christian woman too which I liked. She got me my kids back and even though I didn't agree with everything the judge did, I think Ms. Brown did a really good job.

Not your attorney if you are looking for integrity and professionalism

This attorney was more interested in money than justice. She charged $700.00 to make copies, exhorbitant amount to review paper work. Repeatedly did not show up for appointments and colluded with opposing attorney and agreed to hearings on my behalf without consulting me. Appeared in court and conduc...ted herself in a very unprofessional manner and was very hostile once I questioned her charges. I have paper work and invoices and witnesses to her behavior in courthouse. I wish her well but if you dont have limitless funds, do not use her for your divorce or family case. All about the money, no compassion.
