Morgan began her legal career at an intellectual property litigation boutique in Atlanta, where she quickly realized her interest in working with business owners and personnel to guide them through the legal issues that arise in their everyday interactions. She joined her father, William B. Wood, in his practice in early 2013 to gain the benefit of his years of experience and build her knowledge of business and transactional law. Her intellectual property experience proved to be a valuable addition to the practice, allowing Wood & Bembry to add trademark and copyright protection work to the core business services the firm offers to its clients. She advises businesses in the areas of corporate formation and organization, contracts and transactions, trademark and copyright protection, and mergers and acquisitions.
Since 2013, Morgan has also developed an estate planning and administration practice. This particular area of law drew her attention before her career even began as it gave her the opportunity to use her skills to help people on a very personal level. She works with clients young and old to develop their first estate plans or interpret and rework wills or trusts that they have had in place for years. The insights she gains through interactions with clients help her tailor their documents to address their particular concerns. She also assists survivors who are navigating the probate process or administering a trust for a loved one, doing what she can to make a difficult time as easy as possible. Morgan was recently invited to author three Practice Notes in the Georgia - Trusts & Estates category for the LexisNexis Lexis Practice Advisor.
She has been selected to the Georgia Rising Stars list from Super Lawyers for five years in a row. Wood & Bembry LLC has been honored in Best of Gwinnett in the category of Business Advisors for each of the past four years.
Morgan received her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she graduated cum laude in 2011 and served as managing editor of the Georgia Law Review. Prior to law school, Morgan worked in marketing and communications for a large Atlanta law firm. She earned her A.B.J., cum laude, from the University of Georgia, majoring in public relations.
Morgan is a Gwinnett County native, a sixth-generation Georgian, and a product of the Gwinnett County Public Schools – Centerville, Annistown, and Shiloh Elementary, Shiloh Middle, and Brookwood High. She now lives in Decatur with her husband, William, and their dog, Abbey. Morgan is a member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers, serving on its Foundation Board from 2013 to 2019 and as Foundation Board President for 2017-2018. She is also a member of the Delta Gamma Atlanta Alumnae Chapter and the scholarship advisor for the sorority's Delta Iota chapter at UGA.

Highly recommended
Morgan Bembry comes highly recommended. She did an excellent job handling my wife’s probate issue. She was very thorough and provided great attention to detail. So much so, I also consulted with her to draw up my new will and estate plan.
