Kathryn Hedden

Kathryn wrote a will for me after a friend died in her 50s without a will. The friend's family had a hard time finding all of her assets. Kathy thoroughly covered what documents I needed to insure that my wishes would be followed. She made suggestions about how to expedite the will. I would never hav...e thought of all the documents I would need if it hadn't been for her guidance. Professional, empathetic, caring, and thorough are just a few of the adjectives I use when describing Her. I highly recommend her.

Review of Kathryn N. Hedden

I have been working with Kathryn since January 2016 on a very difficult and stressful divorce. She has been such a blessing and has given me the best and most insightful, positive advice. I was referred to her by a friend who also used her for her divorce. I have had a great experience with Kathry...n and her dedication and expertise is exceptional. I am very fortunate to have Kathryn represent myself and my children.

Very thorough, efficient and very supportive

I retained Kathy to begin a lengthy divorce case(I was told that it would be very complex by other attorneys with their consultation) last year and after explaining my situation and the fact that my spouse resided overseas, Kathy was able to assist me with advice and counsel every step of the way an...d honestly my divorce was done expeditiously as soon as my spouse was back stateside. The filing was in late August of 2016 and the final decree was the late January of 2017 (a date of my choosing to allow me to see the kids for the Holidays). As I already had some financial impediments before consulting with Kathy, she was able to work with me to determine my financial worksheet and the appropriate amount of support that each party is owed for the best situation for our children. Additionally Kathy was able to go to the Courthouse on the day of the hearing and we were actually the first case due to her proficiency with the documentation, filing and presentation. In the end I was able to finally breathe a sigh of relief from this, my co-parent and I have a mutually agreed upon parenting plan and Kathy was very diligent with contacting the co-parent and explaining the documentation that was sent. As a result of all of this, I have retained Kathy for a legitimization and custody case as I feel that she is the best among many lawyers in Cumming and provided me with great service. Personal note from the heart: If you are a spouse that is in a situation where you are considering divorce or meditation or are a Father that truly wants to be in his children's lives without the burden of "playing the game" with the children's mother...please do yourself a favor and contact Kathy. Trust me the nights of tossing and turning and nightmares stemming from feeling helpless and unable to protect or provide for your kids will subside once things get started with her. We all have our own situations in life and not many are good, but I truly feel that Kathy helped addressed the best course for me and my children while respecting my circumstances and both parties. -Paul

Most Trusted insightful Attorney

Was thankfully personally referred to Kathy to defend against my ex-wife unwarranted legal effort to change the Parenting Plan of my Divorce Settlement Agreement. There were many consultations over each item over a year period. Kathy skillfully defended me in court with her strong sound legal skill...s and had the items dismissed. I wish i knew of her for my initial divorce as i found out that my then attorney while helpful Kathy would have done far more for me based on the insight shared. Secondly, i sought her advice and insights on how to protect my child further after she was a victim in a criminal molestation charge. With her insights procured a Temporary Protective Order (Restraining Order) to protect my other children who were not named victims but correctly needed protection from harm from the accused by the removal of his access to them. On other occasions have had legal emergencies and she is a trusted resource and friend. Such is her dedication to help that during one emergency issue she return my call from her vacation for advice and insights. She is also helping me with my will. I have on numerous occasions refered her to friends facing legal challenges and will continue to do so.

You can't go wrong.

I will be eternally grateful to Kathy for all that she did to help me resolve a five year long divorce case and custody battle. She gave me a lot of excellent advice on how to handle my ex and what battles to fight. To say it was contentious would be an understatement. Her experience within the For...syth County judicial system, Family Haven and her time spent serving as a guardian ad litem were instrumental in crafting a parenting plan to meet my son's needs. Additionally, she is a real pleasure to be around so I know that the process could have been more painful than it was. Kathy has also helped me with drafting medical poa's and wills, not to mention my deadbeat renters, so I appreciate the extent of her assistance. She is worth every dollar I have paid her and I have no regrets about the outcome of my divorce.
