Biography
I am licensed to practice law in Georgia and Florida. I graduated from the University of Georgia in 1999 and received my law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law in 2002. While in law school I clerked for the real estate firm Calloway & Calloway, P.C. I also interned with the U.S. Trustees Office and served as a graduate research assistant for Professor Julian Juergensmeyer, contributing to his hornbook Land Use Planning and Control Law.
After law school, I moved to Gainesville, Florida, where I began my legal career as an attorney for the Department of Children and Family Services, where I was responsible for advocating on behalf of the state for the safety of abused and abandoned children. From 2004 to 2006, I performed discovery review in large and complex litigation matters for a subsidiary of the law firm Nexsen, Pruet, Adams & Kleemeier. In October 2006, I joined Franzen and Salzano, P.C. where I worked as defense counsel for debt collectors and litigated cases filed under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act (GFBPA) and various other consumer protection statutes. While at Franzen and Salzano, P.C., I presented on multiple occasions with the Georgia Institute for Continuing Legal Education on the relationship between the FDCPA and Georgia property law.

Great
Keary helped us a lot. He's not brash and showy like a lot of other lawyers, but he still got the judge's attention and did everything we needed him to do. He really is an awesome lawyer.
