Biography
Criminal defense lawyer Christopher Wellborn began his career as a York County prosecutor, and he draws on that experience as he tears down the prosecution's case to build your defense. Since 1990, he has practiced in the area of criminal defense. He established his own practice, Christopher A. Wellborn, P.A., in 1997 in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Mr. Wellborn is respected by judges, prosecutors and his professional peers for his integrity, knowledge and passion for defending his clients. He defends people against all types of misdemeanor and felony charges, including state charges, federal crimes and appeals, in the York County area and throughout the state of South Carolina.
Chris Wellborn is a founding member and past President of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also a past President of the York County Bar Association, and active in the South Carolina Bar Association, including conducting seminars on criminal law topics for other attorneys.
