Thomas E. "Tommy" Pope, a distinguished managing partner at Elrod Pope Accident & Injury Lawyers in Rock Hill, South Carolina, boasts over 30 years of formidable litigation experience. Graduating with a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1987, he also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.
From 1993 to 2006, Tommy served as the elected Solicitor for the 16th Circuit, diligently representing Union and York Counties in South Carolina. The Silver Compleat Lawyer Award, bestowed upon him by the University of South Carolina Law School Alumni Association during this period, attests to his competence, integrity, ethics, and superior performance in the legal profession.
In 2008, Tommy received the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina's highest civilian honor, in recognition of his dedication and service to the state's residents. His commitment to justice persisted when he joined forces with Luke Elrod to establish Elrod Pope Accident & Injury Lawyers in the same year.
Beyond his role as a Rock Hill personal injury lawyer, Tommy has been an integral member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for District 47 since 2010. Selected as Speaker Pro Tempore of the House in December 2014, he continues to hold this position today.
As a seasoned attorney, Tommy has consistently earned recognition as a South Carolina Super Lawyer since 2013, a distinction reserved for less than five percent of lawyers in the state.
