My legal practice is dedicated entirely to immigration law. I came to immigration law after working extensively with immigrant communities in the context of health education and community organizing. I started my legal career as a juvenile defense attorney with the Bronx Legal Aid Office in New York, and have since spent over 8 years practicing immigration law.
I earned my Juris Doctor from City University of New York School of Law and my B.A. in Modern Languages from the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras, PR.
I am fluent in Spanish and am a member in good standing of the North Carolina State Bars, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Mecklenburg County Bar.

Its not often in this world will you find a lawyer willing to answer a question without expecting a good chunk of money first. She was very helpful and i can tell just by her response that she truly one who does it to be helpful and not just as a job. Though I was unable to hire her due to my extreme...
"Ms. Toledo-Hermina is an excellent, skilled attorney that I would feel more than confident when referring any individual facing a complicated legal issue. I endorse this lawyer."
"Ms. Toledo-Hermina and I have worked in tandem regarding a SIJS case. Through meaningful collaboration we successfully obtained service in a foreign country and were granted a permanent child custody order from a local family law court. We anticipate great results for our client!"
"Mariana and I worked together, in the same law firm, from December 2012 through August 2014. This gave me an opportunity to get to know her well and to observe her work. Mariana is an outstanding attorney with a rich life history. She is committed, hard-working, passionate, and compassionate. She understands how the law intersects with people and their families, their life issues, and their problems. She strives every day to serve and give back to the immigrant community. She is a leader, a thinker, and a doer. I refer anyone with any immigration issue to Mariana."
"Mariana is one of the smartest and friendliest attorneys I have seen in a long time. She is very through, organized and is a zealous advocate for her clients. She is tenacious in her preparation of cases. Such a great lawyer!"
