Marcus W. (Wes) Meetze is a native of South Carolina. After spending his early years in Columbia, Wes Meetze lived in Surfside Beach before finally settling in the Upstate of South Carolina, where he attended high school and college.
Education
Wes Meetze earned his J.D. (or Juris Doctor) degree in 2008 from the Charleston School of Law. While attending law school he was a member of the Moot Court Board Executive Committee and helped organize and host the 1st Annual CSOL National Moot Court Competition. He graduated with a 3.29 GPA and was a member of the Dean’s List. Wes Meetze graduated from University of South Carolina-Upstate with a B.A. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. During his time at University of South Carolina-Upstate, he was elected President of College Democrats and managed a campaign for the Democratic nomination for the Fourth Congressional District.
Experience
Altman and Coker, LLC – Charleston, South Carolina
Mr. Meetze was an associate member of Altman & Coker, LLC from November 2008 to May 2011. He joined the firm as a law clerk while attending law school and later developed a practice focusing on commercial banking and general civil litigation. In addition to his role as an associate member of the firm, Mr. Meetze served as network administrator for the firm’s computer network system.
Charleston School of Law, LLC – Charleston, South Carolina
From August 2006 until graduation from law school, Wes Meetze served as an IT Support Specialist for the Charleston School of Law, where he helped maintain a school-wide computer network and assisted students, faculty and staff with computer software programs, including support for Lexis Nexis and Westlaw legal databases.
Other Interests
When he finds time to take a break from the practice of law, in addition to spending time with friends and family, Wes Meetze enjoys: live music, watching college football, dabbling in technology, reading, CrossFit, and craft beer.
