also known as Treb Courie
I am a retired U.S. Army Judge Advocate with more than twenty years of experience in military law. During my career I served around the world advising commanders, representing service members, and presiding over courts-martial.
Today I work with the international military defense firm Court & Carpenter OÜ, where I assist in representing U.S. service members stationed around the world in matters involving military investigations, administrative actions, and other complex legal issues.
Throughout my career in the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, I served in numerous roles within the military justice system, including as a military judge, military justice appellate counsel, and trial attorney. These assignments gave me experience across the entire military justice process—from investigations and trial-level proceedings through appellate review.
I deployed three times in support of military operations, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. While deployed to Afghanistan, I served as the Chief U.S. Prosecutor for all of eastern Afghanistan, overseeing criminal prosecutions arising within that theater of operations.
These assignments provided firsthand exposure to the operational realities faced by service members and the legal challenges that arise in deployed environments. I now draw on that experience to advise and represent service members confronting serious legal and administrative issues.
