My Fierce Fairy Godmother

I am choosing to remain anonymous out of respect for my privacy, as my situation was deeply personal and traumatic. With that said, I feel compelled to share my experience because Lauren Taylor deserves to be recognized for the extraordinary attorney she is. Lauren Taylor is, without a doubt, the ...best attorney I have ever worked with. From the very beginning, I felt truly seen, heard, and protected. She didn’t just handle my case—she cared about me as a person, about my future, and about ensuring the best possible outcome. For the first time, I knew without question that I had someone in my corner who genuinely cared. Thanks to Lauren, I was able to walk away from one of the most difficult chapters of my life with my head held high and with an outcome that exceeded anything I could have hoped for. I owe it all to her dedication, expertise, and compassion. It is never easy to hire an attorney, especially when facing something as life-altering as divorce. But having Lauren by my side eased my anxiety every step of the way. She guided me, supported me, and made me feel secure when I needed it most. What I went through was life-changing, and it truly felt as though Lauren had a magic wand that helped transform my life for the better. I will be forever grateful for her representation. If I could recommend her to everyone, over and over again, I absolutely would. Lauren Taylor is not only an exceptional lawyer, but also a fierce advocate and a compassionate human being. 10/10—I would recommend her to anyone. She is, without question, one of the very best.

Avoid

My ex used her in our divorce. She and her firm ran up his fees (expecting ME to pay them), to recover a lesser amount from my retirement plan in a QDRO. Never made a good effort toward settling the case (which was relatively small). Went all the way to a final hearing. Remember, when you l...ose based on crappy advice, you still have to pay THEIR bill. I almost felt sorry for him.

My Worst Nightmare

I hired Lauren for a child custody case. She showed up for my hearing with 5 minutes to spare and arrived unprepared for court. I watched in horror as she kept looking down to read sticky notes about my case as she fumbled over her words. We were subsequently destroyed by the other attorney who was c...learly well prepared. No apologies, no strategy, no follow up consultations. I've never experienced such a lack of professionalism. When I fired her I was reminded that I signed a non-refundable retainer agreement and she kept my money. The expensive lesson I learned is if your attorney needs a non-refundable retainer there might be a reason.
