Beattie B. Ashmore has been practicing law in South Carolina for over 33 years. He is a former Federal prosecutor with extensive trial experience in all courts. His criminal trial experience ranges from DUI to murder with an emphasis on larger white collar criminal cases, particularly in Federal Court. He has been involved in dozens of multi-million dollar civil cases in South Carolina. He has also been named as a Receiver by three separate Federal Judges in South Carolina and recovered funds on behalf of victims in fraudulent schemes of over 50 million dollars each. He has obtained very significant recoveries for injured clients. He has argued before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and Supreme Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been named a South Carolina Super Lawyer every year since it began which is a designation given to no more than 5% of the South Carolina bar. Every year since 2014 South Carolina SuperLawyers magazine rated him as one of the top 25 lawyers in South Carolina. He has an AV Preeminent designation with Martindale-Hubbell which is a peer review rating service. This is the highest possible rating given for legal and ethical standards. He grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, as did his parents and Grandparents, and his office is located in downtown Greenville.
