James Richard Battle II

Born and raised in Conway, SC, I have deep roots in our community. I am a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina Honors College and USC Law School.

I began my legal career as a prosecutor at the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office under Greg Hembree. This experience provided invaluable insights into the criminal justice system and a strong foundation in litigation.

Transitioning to private practice, I joined the Battle Law Firm, founded by my father, Mike Battle. Here, I focused on representing law enforcement agencies, local governments, and served as a Special Prosecutor for the Solicitor’s Office. However, at the Battle Law Firm I was usually on the defense side. I embarked on a new journey by establishing the J.R. Battle Law Firm and use the skills I learned from being on the defense side.

At the J.R. Battle Law Firm, we specialize in representing plaintiffs in a range of legal matters. Our focus areas include personal injury, auto accidents, and wrongful death cases. With a passion for helping those who have been wronged, we bring a unique perspective and dedication to every case we handle.
