About Baxter
Biography
Attorney Baxter Harwell of the Harwell Law Firm has been defending citizens accused of DUI, DWI, DUAC and all Traffic Violations as a lawyer in South Carolina for over twenty years.
A native of Florence, SC, he is well known throughout the Myrtle Beach, Grand Strand and the Greater Pee Dee areas of South Carolina. His family is known for generations of civil representation both in legal and political service.
Mr. Harwell completed his undergraduate studies in 1983 at a graduate of the University of South Carolina, and completed his legal studies in 1992 at the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Gaining valuable experience and important relationships, Baxter has served as a South Carolina Statewide DUI Special Prosecutor for the SC Department of Public Safety (SC Highway Patrol) and is also former Assistant Solicitor of Horry County responsible for heavy felonies and misdemeanors concentrating on DUI law.
Baxter is a certified South Carolina Data Master Breath Testing operator and NHTSA Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Officer.
