MediationFamily Conflict Resolution Through Mediation:
Nancy J. Vavra is trained in mediation and has served to mediate domestic conflicts privately and within the court system. While courts are essential to our justice system, mediation is often quicker and a less expensive alternative for the resolution of disputes. Here in South Carolina, mediation is a concept whose time has come. Many of the respected judiciary require that parties to litigation pursue mediation in an effort to resolve their disputes. Attorneys are always welcome to participate but are not required in the mediation process.

Nancy has over twenty years of legal experience, much of it handling litigation in matters concerning families. Originally licensed in New Jersey(1987) and subsequently in Connecticut (1991) and South Carolina (2008), Nancy had served as a Family Court Special Master between 1999 and 2006. In 2006, she moved with her family to the Charleston area in South Carolina. There, Nancy is committed to assisting families with the resolution of domestic issues in a dignified and cost effective way. She is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Mediation and Meeting Center of Charleston and conducts her law practice and mediation business from an office in downtown Charleston, just three blocks from the Charleston County courthouse.
