Jody Van McKnight

As principal of the McKnight Law Firm, Jody McKnight pours his personal journey and passion into defending those who cannot fight for themselves. Born and raised in Charleston’s West Ashley region, he graduated St. Andrews High School and studied Political Science at the University of South Carolina, where firsthand exposure to a leading personal injury practice motivated his legal path. Since earning his degree from USC School of Law in 1993, Jody has secured significant victories for clients suffering catastrophic injuries or wrongful deaths. He has authored professional articles on trial strategy and is an active member of the South Carolina Association for Justice—serving three terms on its Board of Governors—as well as the Southern Trial Lawyers Association. Jody’s awards and memberships reflect his commitment to justice, while his experience as a father keeps him grounded in the importance of family support.
