Excellent attorney

I have used Mr. Rhodes for every legal issue I have had since moving to Spartanburg in 1979 except my divorce. Mr. Rhodes knew both of us so we chose other lawyers for the divorce. Mr. Rhodes is a true southern gentleman in every way. He is a man of his word and always follows through on each an...d every issue. He takes time with you and never makes you feel rushed or hurried. He is always thoughtful and diligent about smoothing out "unpleasant" issues that may arise in any legal matter involving other parties. Every time I have hired Mr. Rhodes he immediately begins working on the issue at hand. He stays on top of the situation and has never ever let anything slide or fall through the cracks. He will never waste your time or your money by not being completely on top of your issue. Mr. Rhodes handled all of my real estate transactions when that was part of his practice. He has also handled the following issues for me: *my will *my living will *advice on rental property and tenants *led my brothers and I through the process of declaring our oldest brother non compos mentis after being diagnosed with early onset frontal lobe dementia. He led us through the process of all steps required to attain the guardian and conservator ships. He also traveled to the low country to go though the entire legal process with the probate judge. * he has handled too many issues to mention with the issues surrounding the guardianship and conservatorship and the running of my non compos brother's business Mr. Rhodes logic, honesty, intelligence, empathy and caring has gotten me through countless legal issues. He is extremely dependable and I believe that anyone who meets this man is better for having met him.

Fantastic attorney

Richard has represented me in several business acquisitions and advised me on several contract agreements. He has been our attorney for several generations of family members, and has always served extremely well. His experience, responsiveness, and knowlege of the law is unsurpassed. I highly recomme...nd his services.

Personable Attorney

Been a client of Richard's since 1979. Wills, real estate, contracts, and civil suits. Always thorough, responsive, converts legal terms to easy understanding laymen language, seeks common ground resolution, very knowledgeable of the law, fair fees, and personable. Highly recommend Richard for your... legal needs.

Superior service with integrity

Richard has handled many legal issues for me over the past 29 years. He is one of the most trustworthy, sincerely honest people I know. His legal work is excellent and a true reflection of his attention to detail and accuracy. Over the years, he assisted me in a closing for an SBA loan for my bus...iness, a loan closing for my home and a land transfer in Charleston, to name a few. He has also prepared business documents for me, including personnel policies, that have been most beneficial.

"I have personally known Richard for over 20 years. He is a professional but more importantly, he is a gentleman. Richard is always prepared and a zealous advocate for his clients. I have learned much from Richard over the years from simply observing him in and out of the courtroom. I have great respect for him and I suggest most lawyers in our community would feel the same. He has tremendous skills in several practice areas such as probate and appellate practice and I always feel confident when I call him for advice and refer cases to him and his firm."

"Mr. Rhodes has practiced law in the Spartanburg Community for more than 40 years. He maintains a reputation for excellence in the Bar. Most of his practice is in probate law [wills, trusts, and estates] and family law [divorce, custody, and support], although he is active in other areas of law, and he is a certified Family Court mediator."
