Mark A. Nowell

Mark Alan Nowell was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. While at UGA, Mark was a scholarship member of the NCAA Division I men's swim team, a member of Sigma Iota Epsilon National Management Honor Fraternity, and received recognition on the Dean's List and Director of Athletics Honor-Roll.

Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Mark entered law school at the Charlotte School of Law.　After a successful first year, Mark transferred to the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, Mark served as a summer law clerk to the Honorable Henry F. Floyd, federal judge, received awards in real estate transactions and legal writing, and earned recognition on the Dean's List. Mark graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in May 2011.

Upon graduating from law school, Mark moved to Spartanburg, where he served as law clerk for the Honorable Roger L. Couch of the South Carolina Circuit Court. After completing his clerkship, Mark went to work for the law firm of Henderson, Brandt & Vieth, P.A. in Spartanburg. His practice focused primarily on criminal defense, personal injury, business litigation, probate, and real estate litigation.

Mark has been a partner at Anderson, Moore, Bailey & Nowell, LLC since June 2014.  He is licensed to practice in all South Carolina federal and state courts.

Mark and his wife, Maggie, reside in Spartanburg. He is a member of NewSpring Church. In his spare time, Mark enjoys golf, traveling, and skiing.
