Best Litigator in Hickory

I am a long time client of Atty Morgan. I first sought his help in 2009 to litigate a case where I was the defendant. He did an excellent and professional job. He thoroughly researched the issues and laws. He displayed excellent skills in litigation as we went to trial. I requested his services ...again in 2015 on another matter. He again displayed a genuine concern for me as a client and is a great listener of facts. He has a talent for digging into the case and explaining to us, as clients, the best options that we can understand. If I ever need an attorney again it will be Atty Morgan!

Greatly disatisifed and let down

Bill was supposedly a great lawyer with an acting background to aid him in a trial scenario when we came to him in need of a good lawyer to handle our case. We initially felt he cared about our case and especially how a local RV dealership coersed, berated and harassed my wife to tears when she retur...ned a highly defective camper to them within days of purchase and we gave a Cease & Desist Order then and demanded they reverse contract and return funds to the bank to "do the right thing". A product defect/liability case with civil rights violation which he initially seemed strong going forward and filed lawsuit against local RV dealership... We had great confidence going into this. We paid him funds in full. We paid for half of a mediation cost too as required. Then over many month's time, and a repeatedly delayed mediation he insisted we undergo with defendants, it ended up a very bad deal for us and made no sense. After mediation, he seemed to change his mood and minimize things (worrying more about the defendant's position) because we didn't take Offer by the defendant, and after we challenged him on several points regarding erroneous billing concerns, our frustrations with defendant's lawyer repeatedly delaying dates at last minute, defendant's actions and case facts/details from day one, and even RV industry expert's advice he seemed to push to the side, that his feelings got hurt, and he filed to withdraw from representing us (SS 1.16) and walked away from us; leaving us hang with no legal representation prior an established trial date per his original lawsuit filed against defendant. This late in a legal process no other local lawyer would step in for us no matter who we contacted, and we were forced to go pro se' in front of Judge who quickly scolded us and told us she expected us to conduct ourselves as a lawyer regardless we pleaded with her for continuance to secure new lawyer because we did not know what to do nor were qualified to even act like a lawyer in a trial hearing; and hence, Judge basically threw out the entire lawsuit Bill Morgan originally filed (because no facts, or witnesses, or details or charges against manufacturer were brought forward which we pleaded many months for him to do as did RV industry expert) and defendant's got away free and clear from all the wrong doings and any charges for what they did to us. And we are now at the very spot we were in 23 months ago, and still paying monthly loan payments for a camper returned April 2014 to RV dealership just to keep my credit in tact as we were advised to do by Bill from the beginning. We are purely sickened to death to see what has now transpired for our family and we did nothing wrong nor are any criminals, yet made to feel as if we are now because he walked out on us, and the real criminals got away clean with no responsibility answered for.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
