Evan R Rowe

Evan Rowe is a Hickory criminal defense attorney and a founding partner of King & Rowe, Attorneys at Law. He represents clients across the Unifour area in DWI and DUI, drug, traffic, felony, and misdemeanor cases, and he brings a second focus in estate planning to help local families plan ahead. Raised in Hickory, Evan built his practice in the community he calls home.

For many of his clients, an arrest or a charge is their first encounter with the court system. Evan works to be a steady guide through it — explaining the process in plain language, laying out the realistic options and likely outcomes, and preparing each case thoroughly rather than assuming it will simply be resolved. He wants clients to make informed decisions with a clear picture of where they stand.

Evan earned his undergraduate degree at North Carolina State University and his law degree at the Charlotte School of Law. While still in law school, he handled cases through internships with both a district attorney's office and a public defender's office under North Carolina's student-practice program. That early view of how the State assembles a case — and where it can fall short — continues to shape the way he defends clients today.

His criminal defense practice covers impaired driving (DWI/DUI), drug offenses, traffic violations, felonies, misdemeanors, and contempt matters in the district and superior courts of Catawba, Burke, and Caldwell counties. His estate planning work includes wills, powers of attorney, and related documents.

Evan is serving his third term as President of the Catawba County Bar Association. He is a member of the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys, holds the Premier DUI Attorney designation, and has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. He is admitted to practice in all North Carolina state courts and in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
