William Peter Shanahan III

I have only spoken to Mr. Shanahan briefly on the phone due to moving to Washington. I read some reviews about Silva, Kiernan, and Associates and took a chance. After the initial free phone consultation regarding my divorce, there was really no need for me to be in direct contact with Mr. Shanaha...n. The reason: his paralegal, Suzanne, is AMAZING!!! She kept me regularly informed, was able to translate the legal process into something easily digestible, is punctual with her correspondence, and is the definition of perfect liaison between lawyer and client. Mr. Shanahan, like most lawyers, I imagine, was regularly in court. That said, you can't expect to have a direct 24/7 connection with your lawyer - they have other cases and etiquettes to follow while in court. I would say that Mr. Shanahan and Suzanne are a perfect team - professional, punctual, organized, and genuinely involved with the entire process.

Mr. Shanahan from day one has made us feel great we seeked legal counsel we had court and he handled every matter with such dignity he got us the results we wanted and seemed like such a easy process. Everything went perfect for us. My wife and I walked out so happy and talked all day about how happy... we were to have Mr. Shanahan on our side. As with the entire law firm we have had such relief. Mr. Silva is the man and Mr. Shanahan too. My wife and I talk everyday day how everything will be fine and reason being is because we have best attorney's in Onslow county and that felling is remarkable due to the other parties can choose whoever and we will win its amazing feeling. The level of professionalism, courtesy, and skill that I encountered at his office was outstanding. The timeframe it took to close my case was superb as well.... I was charged with three felonies in August 2014. I had never been in trouble in my entire life, let alone hired a lawyer. I had consulted four other attorneys before I ended up with Mr. Shanahan. None of them were even close to the level of professionalism, courtesy, and skill that I encountered ...at his office. They all had me convinced I was going to away for a long time. He told me that WASN'T going to happen. The ladies at Silva, Sweet, & Kiernan are the absolute best, and treat you with such respect. I made my appointment for that day, and thankfully they fit me in. I met with Mr. Silva and Mr. Shanahan during my consultation. I was immediately at ease. He helped me calm down, he explained the entire criminal process, and he made me feel I had a second chance. He offered to walk to me the magistrate's, walk me through the process to turn myself in, and helped me get a signature bond. Every other lawyer wanted 500$ to do this, and told me I had best have bail money ready. My case went on for about a year. He always answered my emails and helped reassure me that the case was going smoothly. I learned in the court system "no news is good news". I was a complete wreck for that entire year but he continuously reassured me that the worst case scenario wasn't an option. The day he called me to tell me my case had been dismissed was absolutely the best day of my life. I was able to continue my career I worked so hard for and I was going to be able to live my life without being a felon. He is a miracle worker, and I am so thankful for him. I cannot thank Mr. Shanahan or the Law Office of Silva, Sweet, & Kiernan enough for giving me a new chance at living my life. They are worth so much more than they charge, and they are always willing to work with you. Again, thank you so so so so much from the bottom of my heart.
