Biography
Steven Matthew Laird has been an practicing law since August of 2009. Mr. Laird's practice areas include criminal, DWI, and traffic litigation. Mr. Laird defends misdemeanor and felony criminal cases, domestic violence, juvenile delinquency, misdemeanor and felony probation violations, DWIs, and misdemeanor appeal cases in both district and superior court.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Laird attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his undergraduate degree. There, he double majored in Political Science and Psychology whereas he received a BA in both of those study areas in 2006. After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill, Mr. Laird attended Campbell University-Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and became a member of Phi Delta Phi. Mr. Laird received his Juris Doctorate in May of 2009 and passed the North Carolina Bar Exam in July of 2009. Mr. Laird is a member of the 4th District Judicial Bar and has been since 2009.
