Piece of work

This man is “representing “my som and I say representing very loosely . He is a piece of work. Never once did he visited my son upon turning himself in and never kept my son updated on his case. My son could NEVER get a hold of him from jail either . What atty tells his client falsely charges w a ...crime that he only takes pleas and he mainly takes custody cases - SO WHAT GOOD ARE YOU! Not only that didn’t even take depositions and a trial date has been set. Outrageous first rule of law school is NEVER ASK A QUESTION YOU DINT KNOW THE ANSWER TO It seems that this man only cares about a paycheck and not the people he’s suppose to represent. He shouldn’t even be an atty if he’s going to be so lazy going about he’s job. Doesn’t seem to care that an innocent man’s life is on the line JUST A PITIFUL ATTORNEY

Lost money

Hired for child support and custody. Continues to ask for money but no results and keeps pushing dates back. Does not follow through nor communicate and has not done anything for thousands of dollars. A half paragraph email costs hundreds everytime an email is sent. 6 months later and $5 lost. Now i... have no choice but to go along with the other parties demands

Knowledgeable Attorney

Mr. Illikainen is a highly competent and skilled attorney. Although my child custody battle took two years to settle, he kept me informed, while being accessible throughout the process. He was a blessing during this period of my life. The amount of money I paid for his services were well worth it!... I've had attorneys want to charge me more money just to start my case. He understood the complexities of my situation (deployed service member, with residence in another state, going through a divorce hearing in the state of residence). He always took note of my concerns and addressed them truthfully. He never made promises he could not deliver, and I respect that. In the end, he cared; I didn't get the feeling my case was about money, but about justice. I must admit, his then, office staff had issues with customer service and lacked competence, but his demeanor and professionalism overshadowed their negative qualities.

Worthless

I hired this attorney to assist me with a legal matter I was facing in the Army. He supposedly is a military law expert and has worked as a military attorney. I can't speak to his knowledge of the law, except to say that when requesting counsel, he either ignored me completely, or responded with a ...ridiculously unhelpful and obvious answer. If I ask whether I should pursue course of action A or course of action B, and your response is that I can do either one, you are not providing me expert legal counsel and are, in fact, just wasting my time and money. Furthermore, you get the feeling that when you're in his presence he's just annoyed by you all the time and that's probably not a great way to treat the guy paying you. If you're looking for someone to help you understand the process or to aggressively represent you, this is NOT the guy. I found another attorney who was the polar opposite of this guy and got a great outcome. Look elsewhere for military law assistance. Thanks for nothing.

GREAT LAWYER!!!!!!

Mr. Illikainen is a great Lawyer. I had a custody case with him over a year ago, he was very well educated with the laws and help me out so much. I would hire him over and over again. Mr. Illikainen and his staff kept me well informed of my case and addressed all my concerns. I would recommend him... to everybody.
