I had never had to work with a lawyer on a long-term basis (and hopefully I never will again), so some of the process was unfamiliar and frustrating. Shannon and I worked together to fight a petition to modify the existing consent order for the custody of my 10-year-old son. Shannon and I worked very carefully on the current consent order (that was being petitioned for modification) in 2010. Shannon remembered both me and my case from 4 years ag...o and immediately jumped in to get the ball rolling to both show reason to deny the petition for modification and file an immediate counterclaim to ensure that my parental rights were being protected. Shannon understood my situation and worked with me to ensure all pertinent facts were documented. She arranged all hearings, mediation, and depositions to make sure that we had all of our bases covered and that the trial would not force me to be away from my son for another school year. Despite my case being extremely complicated, Shannon helped me focus on the facts that were most relevant to the case and went above and beyond to prepare me for trial. Shannon prepared stunning visuals to be used during my trial so that the judge was able to get a snapshot of the 5-year time period in question very easily with no confusion. I was told by the mediator and other law professionals that I had only a 35% chance of winning my case. After a grueling 12-hour trial, the judge awarded me with exactly what we were seeking! Shannon remained steadfast and sharp throughout the entire trial, despite the crunch for time we faced near the end. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
