Shannon Cahill Coffey

I had never had to work with a lawyer on a long-term basis (and hopefully I never will again), so some of the process was unfamiliar and frustrating. Shannon, of course, had other clients, and it was sometimes off-putting that my concerns didn't always receive immediate attention. But in the end I ca...n't speak highly enough of Shannon Coffey. I was in a somewhat unusual situation in that I live over 600 miles from Shannon's office, and our initial contacts were all through phone and email. But once we actually met for the first time I felt that she was emotionally invested in my case, that she wanted not just to do the right thing for me as a client but also as a parent, and in the process she enabled me to stand up for myself and advocate for my rights. I could not recommend Shannon more highly.

I began working with Shannon 4 years ago. I wanted sole physical and legal custody of my 2 years old child. It became a very complicated case , with several lawyers and DFCS to work with. Through the long 3 years, Shannon proved herself time and time again as an ethical, professional, and efficient attorney. Because of Shannon my child is in a secure, stable and loving home. I will always remember her and what she has done for my family.

Shannon represented me in an effort to get my child support reduced in 6/10. I had been paying a large sum, lost my job, and my unemployment did not even cover my child support. She was able to get it reduced by almost 43%. She kept me informed the whole way and was able to get it reduced during m...ediation and we never went to court where more costs would have been incurred. As my child support obligation draws to a close, she took the time to meet with me just so I could have the peace of mind that is was really over. She knows and understands the law, when to move and when to be patient, and just did a fantastic job overall. I would recommend her to anyone in need of good, knowledgeable representation.

I retained Shannon to finish up a child custody case that had been open for close to three years. She basically had two months to catch up (without any input from my previous counsel), determine the best strategy, follow up on said strategy, and competently represent me at the final hearing.
