Matthew Duncan Pierce

Matthew D. Pierce is a bilingual immigration attorney who has represented more than 500 people who come from more than 50 different countries across 5 different continents.  Matthew has personally appeared on behalf of his clients in 8 different Immigration Courts in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas.  Matthew has also successfully represented his clients at 13 different United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) offices throughout the country. 

After working for two fast-paced immigration law firms in Miami, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina, Matthew decided to start The Law Office of Matthew D. Pierce, LLC which is founded on the principles of providing personalized and exceptional service to each and every client and doing so with the utmost integrity. 

Matthew is licensed to practice law in Florida.  However, he can represent you before any Immigration Court or USCIS office in the country because immigration law does not vary from state to state. 

Matthew graduated cum laude from Florida International University College of Law.  During his studies he gained invaluable experience working, interning or completing practical training at (1) Americans for Immigrant Justice (a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping noncitizens); (2) Carlos A. Costa Immigration and Human Rights Clinic (where he represented, under the supervision of his professor, several detained individuals); and (3) Krome Immigration Court (during which he helped the three judges to research legal issues and write decisions).  While in law school, Matthew was awarded the Community and Public Service Excellence Award. 

Before becoming an attorney, Matthew worked as a Spanish teacher for 6 years at Independence High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, teaching every level of Spanish – from Spanish I to Advanced Placement Spanish Literature.  Matthew has worked, studied and traveled in various parts of Mexico.  

Matthew resides in South Carolina with his wife and daughter.
