I feel like the DA and detective in my case were trying to bury me alive. If it had not been for Mr. Davis and his belief in me, this would not have been settled in this way. Mr. Davis believed me when I said I was just protecting my family and had asked the men who came over to our property to ca...use trouble to leave my property and that is when everything started happening. I would gladly recommend Mr. Davis to any of my friends and family if they were in need of a lawyer. He was a court-appointed lawyer and you could not have asked for better guidance through this court process and through the court system. If we had to hire a lawyer, we would have chosen Mr. Davis. I think what made it better for me is that he believed what I told him. It is good to know that there are still a few good, honest people or lawyers that really want to help you when you need someone to help and guide you through a process that you hope you never have to go through before. He and his office staff-Candice kept us informed of what was going on, and let us know when we had to be in court. Without the support, hard work and genuine belief that James Davis had in me, I know that I would have never had a unanimous decision of Not Guilty in Superior Court. If you want the best, James Davis is the lawyer you want to hire. We hired James Davis to gain and ultimately keep custody of our grandson. For grandparents to obtain custody of their grandchild is extraordinarily difficult at best and requires a lawyer who knows every aspect of the legal system. Ove...r the course of several years we returned to court approximately every 3-6 months to maintain custody. Each time was extremely difficult and worrisome; however, with James by our side, we were always confident the outcome would be favorable. James does not sugar coat your problems and will tell you straight up what to expect, the outcome he is trying to achieve, and finally what could take place. Several times we were asked by James what we wanted him to do, each time we stated; “We hired you to do the best possible job and will leave the decisions in your hands.” We were never disappointed. When you first meet James, he comes across as very kind (which he is) and perhaps too gentle to take on a stronger more aggressive lawyer. In addition, we had a friend who worked in the judicial system tell us to hire a different lawyer, gave us his name, and stated the lawyer she suggested was a “fighter” and would be better suited for our case. As it happened, the opposing lawyer was the “fighter”. At each court appearance James remained composed at all times, however, when pushed, James became a force to be reckoned with and did not allow anyone to walk over us. He very confidently, yet politely, chastised the opposing attorney and in one case the GAL. In the court room James is truly a master of his craft, he can simultaneously; listen to opposing arguments, highlight sections of legal cases being referenced, take notes, and yet immediately respond in an intelligent effective manner. As for the office staff; they are very knowledgeable, considerate, courteous, helpful, and will find the answers to your questions. Finally, this firm does not ignore your concerns once your case is finished. If you have a question months later, you can still call for and receive advice.

James Davis took on a Child custody case that was the toughest I have seen or been a part of. He took it and owned it and committed to making the situation right. I can not express what a great job this man did. He took our case knowing a lot of odds were against winning and yet he came out on top... and won. I will forever be grateful for what he has done for my family. I highly, highly recommend him for any case you may have. He is a good honest Christian man and tells it like it is. By far the best lawyer around!
