In regards to my case which is a classic case of POC or another words pissing off a cop, Ken was able to work swiftly and justly to get my keys thrown out due to the connections he has an amazing work he does. Also in this strange time of COVID-19 in unemployment and economic struggle we were able to... do a payment plan to where I didn’t have to pay him for his fees all upfront I could space them out a little bit to help me with my financial crisis as well as others I’m sure. Very easy-going to work with and very responsive. Would recommend to anyone who needs help in union Anson or any of the surrounding counties for anything.

Please do not use this man for a divorce. Once he got my $4,000 retainer he did VERY little. He refuses to provide me with an accounting of my money although I have asked repeatedly. He didn’t answer calls in a timely manner. He was intimidated by my husbands lawyer. He did not stand up for any of my... requests. I did better in court by MYSELF after he bailed out at the last minute. We were actually AT my court hearing for my divorce when he walked out. He made many promises he did not keep. If you are looking for a bull-dog Lawyer, keep looking. He isn’t it.

Attorney Ken Swain was quick to get my two charges handled. We first spoke on the phone, I emailed the tickets and synopsis of my charges and we negotiated a price. He got one charge dropped and the other reduced to a minor traffic infraction. I consulted with four attorneys before hiring Ken. ...Rates ranged from $500 - 1000. I went with Ken for $800. I think the price was high but I needed good representation. I may sound hypocritical, but don't price shop for a lawyer. Hire with who you're most comfortable with, which I eventually did. Make sure your lawyer knows the D.A. and judges in the county you're charged in. Important because they know the temperature of the personalities who could affect your future. The best thing Ken did with my charges was get them handled quickly. He didn't wait to get to court. In fact, almost a month before I would have had to appear in court. Weight lifted off me.

I hired Mr. Swain to represent me for a traffic ticket in Richmond county in May 2016. He was highly referred by other local attorneys in my area. Several attorneys that I contacted in Richmond county never even returned my call. Mr. Swain took the time to speak with me to understand the details of ...my case and my background. He walked me through the likely scenarios and clearly explained how he would approach my case. He was very honest and transparent in our discussions but never guaranteed any outcome. Ultimately, he was able to deliver exactly what we discussed and did so weeks in advance of my court date. I am very grateful to Mr. Swain and his office for their assistance and sincerely appreciated their professionalism.

I personally went into Mr. Swain's office seeking legal advisement in an area he advertises he represents. After leaving a very detailed message with his receptionist Sharon, I did not receive a returned phone call. I called two additional times and again, did not receive a returned call. On the t...hird call I made, I insisted on speaking with Mr. Swain and the best service I received was talking with him through one of his assistants. He never took even a minute of his time to understand our reason for contacting him. The funny thing is, had he taken any one of my calls (or returned one of them) he would have realized our case was a great opportunity for him and his practice. The case we were attempting to present him with already has the other party admitting guilt in writing and their willingness to pay monetarily; starting at $50,000. We just need an attorney willing to help us negotiate the money due to us. Especially considering we've done most of the work here, it's VERY FRUSTRATING this guy can't even return a phone call... Not to mention it is completely unprofessional.
