I had a family member charged with DWI in 2017. After speaking with several life long residents of Union County they all said to go see John Painter if you want the best. At the consultation Mr. Painter took time to carefully review all the paperwork we had and saw numerous things that he questioned ...about the way the stop was handled. After hiring him, his office kept us informed of what he was doing and all we had to do was show up to court. He had the case continued many times until he had all the information he needed to appear before the Judge. After questioning the legality of the stop and presenting his case, the Judge agreed with him and the case was thrown out. He had other things in question just in case so he did not go in with just one argument. Very professional. Worth every penny of his fee. As I was told, if you want the Best in Union County go see John Painter.

Between the ages of 18 and 21 I just couldn't seem to learn my lesson. John will fight for you tooth and nail! My dwi case was just dismissed. Hey it takes a while John isn't going to do what public defenders do and plead you guilty and then just try and get you the minimum sentence. He works to make sure the cops are on the up and up and this one violated several protocols. It took almost a year and a h...alf but he's worth the money. Insurance alone would have cost more than he charged. If your in union county and get stopped for as much as jaywalking I would hire John!!!

My husband got a DWI back in 2013 but I didn't know about this web site to read a review him, first. Sheriff recommended this lawyer and we decided to go with him. He was always saying 'don't worry, I'll do this and I'll do that'. He was postponing court dates like he was picking a judge he wanted to... have trial with. And when the final court date came, he wouldn't even stand up to say a word to at least get his license back, at least for a privileged driving. Since he needed his driving license for his work. J. Painter charged $3,5 k for nothing, for trips to court. My husband got a "full house" of charges for his first DWI in his life without having any other felonies before. I thought attorneys are meant to protect when you hire them to do so, but not to plead you guilty. Will never recommend this attorney to anybody... i regret I found out about this website so late...
