Many people are apprehensive when it comes to planning for their own passing, and that is understandable. With me as your attorney you will find a patient and committed helper in this difficult process. We will have conversations comfortably and privately about how to best handle your affairs.
Through nine years working with victims in criminal cases, and ten years before that working with students as a high school teacher, I have learned that every person has a different way of handling stressful situations and circumstances. You and I will handle this stress in the way best suited for you.
I was previously with the State Attorney's Office in Miami Dade County, Florida, where I grew as an attorney over 9 years. That office is exceptional at teaching lawyers the art of litigation, team work, ethical behavior, case management, and legal writing. I began my legal career there as a misdemeanor line prosecutor, and was promoted through the juvenile divisions, eventually serving as the C and B level felony attorney, where I prosecuted 3rd and 2nd degree felonies. I was then made a Division Chief in the juvenile division, where I taught newer lawyers to prepare files, argue motions, and prosecute felonies. After two years in that position I was made an A level felony attorney prosecuting 1st degree, Punishable by Life, and Life felonies, and also aiding on murder trials with more senior attorneys. I finished my career with the office as part of a special unit that prosecutes repeat DUI offenders and responds to constitutional and evidentiary motions filed by defense counsel.
Prior to working with this office I was a night law student at Catholic University's Columbus School of Law in Washington, DC. While I attended classes I also maintained a career as a high school literature teacher, and participated in valuable externships. I was a judicial intern in the Superior Court of DC as well as a provisional attorney with the Office of Legislative Counsel for the United States' House of Representatives. Both of these externships allowed me to hone my legal writing skills as I produced real world motions, bills, and drafts of proposed changes to laws.

Knowledgable and Fair
Ethan Timmins was engaged to review and possibly rewrite a will as well as to provide clarity and identify any issues in existing trust and health care documents. His clear and comprehensive analysis of our situation was extremely helpful, well presented and fairly priced for the service provided. ...

Excellent Family Estate lawyer
Ethan did a fabulous job handling my parent's estate in Florida. Both of my parents died within 9 months of each other and did not have a will. My step-sister and I called Ethan and he helped us through the process and explained the process thoroughly to us. Ethan always kept us updated and was ve...

Caring, Compassionate and Thorough
Mr. Timmins was amazing at assisting us with legal documents regarding my elderly grandparents. He was kind and understanding in not only the way he handled asking questions but in also posing questions that we didn't even know to ask (which was extremely helpful in navigating the process). We also...

Excellent Litigator
While serving as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida, Mr. Timmins was an fierce litigator that earned an excellent reputation in Miami's legal community. Before he left, Etan was considered one of the best DUI prosecutors in the entire office and took on its most serious cases. I have no doubt t...
"Without reservation and with extraordinary passion, I endorse Mr. Timmins. During his tenure as a Miami Dade Assistant State Attorney, I have handled dozens of cases in which he was my opposing counsel. Ethan's reputation with judges and attorneys as seasoned trial attorney was unmatched. An excellent attorney needs to be well versed in the law, always prepared, and charismatic. Mr. Timmins has all these attributes and much more."
"Until recently, Mr. Timmins was a senior prosecutor in the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office Criminal Traffic Division. He and I had several complex cases cases together. Mr. Timmins was a stand-out and truly conscientious prosecutor who thought outside of the box, who was earnestly concerned with helping troubled folks to get themselves straight (rather than to simply get straight... to jail) and who took that rare leap of faith, trusting that some people actually want help, are amenable to treatment, will follow through and will thereafter be law-abiding and responsible citizens. Mr. Timmins was a prosecutor with a conscience, not a prosecuting machine, and while I will miss working with him as opposing counsel I wish him all of the best in luck and success in his new career. I KNOW (caps intentional) that each and every one of his Wills, Probate, Trust, Estate Planning and Power of Attorney clients - and their loved ones - will be in the best of hands."
"I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Timmins possesses a high level of knowledge, attention to detail, and focus on high quality work. Mr. Timmins was well-known to be a fair, but tough, litigator. He understands people and has a strong moral compass. I'm happy to recommend Mr. Timmins without hesitation for his intelligence, legal ability, hard work ethic, honesty, and compassion for others."
