My partner and I reached out to Attorney Pham on a recommendation from a friend. We'd never worked with a lawyer before and we needed assistance with a domestic partnership agreement related to our new home and lives together as an unmarried couple. Milan was absolutely fantastic. She knew exactly how to approach our concerns and the agreement's key points in a way that left us feeling empowered to have what were sometimes tricky or hard conversations. Milan made sure that we knew and understood the legal implications of our decisions or potential decisions at all times, which is important when drafting such a document. We were given the time to think through our wishes and have conversations outside of her office as a couple, and she allowed us to propose our own alternate solutions and language when the "standard" language didn't quite fit. Working with Milan was a collaborative experience and we felt we were in good hands with her extensive experience and wisdom every step of the way. Our legal agreement and the process of creating it now feel like a milestone in our relationship and we are very proud of what we were able to accomplish with Milan's guidance and expertise. I'd recommend her to anyone who needs assistance with family law.

My partner and I were very pleased with Milan's work as the North Carolina attorney responsible for our son's adoption. We chose Milan and NicholsonPham because of their well-known work within the LGBT community, their close relationship with Sharon Thompson who is a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, and glowing recommendations from several friends.
Milan was a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive to our questions and concerns. She was concise and clear in her communications both with us and other legal professionals involved in our case. The firm's billing process was transparent and detailed, providing us with a clear view of the services received. Our son's adoption decree was recently issued and we plan to continue our relationship with Milan and Meredith, her law partner, for our future legal needs.

Attorny Pham handled my rather delicate inter-personal legal issue with understanding, but also with a noticable touch of human kindness and consideration for both of us involved. I believe that it was her negotiation and fine inter-personal skills that helped quickly resolved the issue in a manner agreeable to both of us (we both signed and we are now done.) Great working with you, and I appreciate an individual who can read not only written words and listen to people talk, but also can tune in on non-verbal clues, and tone of voice clues, as Attorney Pham had to do in order to get my now -ex to agree to our separation agreement. Plus the agreement was just not all about me and my rights, she also included my -ex in many clauses protecting him from future claims, etc. which I had not requested, but I am also not a selfish man, so I said, "wow, she is good." I'd recommend her to you as someone how not only knows the law, but also other local lawyers and the court systems of both Durham and Wake Counties (more than those two I'm sure), but I lived in Wake County, and she was very familiar with how the courts and judges work up here. Thank you Milan.

Relationship: Worked together on matter
I endorse this lawyer. I needed near immediate assistance on an ICPC adoption, and Milan knew what to do AND treated our case as though it was her only case. The quality and timeliness of her work could not have been better. Thank you Milan!
