A Great Attorney

I taught in the public school system for 32 years. Due to severe physical conditions, I was forced to retire. I was not aware of Social Security Disability. A friend referred me to Attorney Flores. I was very impressed with Attorney Flores' knowledge and background. He guided me through the proc...ess to apply for Social Security Disability. My application was approved without having to have a hearing. This has been a great relief for me and has taken a great deal of stress off of me. I very much appreciate all that Attorney Flores has done for me. I highly recommend Attorney Flores and will give his name to anyone who needs help applying for Social Security Disability.

Thank you for your help

I initially hired a non-attorney representative to assist me with my Social Security Disability case. I was concerned because the representative was not very responsive when I called to ask questions. I felt I wanted to get a second opinion about my case. I was referred to Attorney Flores. After ...speaking with Attorney Flores I decided to fire my first representative and hire Attorney Flores. Attorney Flores spent a great deal of time talking to me about my case. He specifically discussed with me the date I told Social Security when I became disabled. Attorney Flores informed me that this date was not be most beneficial date for my case based on my severe medical conditions and the limited amount of work I had been doing. Attorney Flores was able to change the date that I told Social Security I became disabled. He helped me complete all the required paperwork. I never hesitated to call Attorney Flores when I had a question about my case. He never made me feel that I could not ask a question. This meant a lot to me. My case was approved without having to go to a hearing and with the changed onset date. This resulted in a substantial amount of back benefits. I am very thankful for all that Attorney Flores has done for me.

Thank you Attorney Flores

I had a prior representative but I was not happy with them because they did not keep me informed and they kept switching representatives on me. I dismissed my prior representative and hired Attorney Flores. Attorney Flores has a great deal of knowledge about the Social Security Disability process. ... He used to work as an Attorney with Social Security and has several years experience representing people. Attorney Flores kept me informed about the status of my claim and spent a great deal of time preparing me for my hearing. What the judge asked me about Attorney Flores had prepared me. I was pleased with the work Attorney Flores did and was very happy with the outcome.

Thank you for your help

I hired an out of state law firm to represent me in my Social Security Disability claim. Mr. Flores was my hearing attorney for my hearing in Asheville, NC. Mr. Flores explained the hearing process to me. He prepared me very well for the hearing and as a result I was not as nervous about the heari...ng. Mr. Flores stayed in touch with me after the hearing which I very much appreciated. I was very happy with the result of my hearing.

YOU'RE BETTER OFF ON YOUR OWN

First off i can not drive due to my back injuries. So my mother and my wife had to use vacation days to take me to my hearing on may 6th 2015. Juan Flores Jr. calls me 1 hour before my hearing to let me know that he isn't going to make it due to a sports injury playing basketball the night before a h...earing. I was already in Charlottesville 5 mins away from the hearing. So Mr. Flores is saying that we should file for a continuance. This was literally the only time i was going to be able to make it to Charlottesville for this hearing due to the strain that is caused by that long of a car ride. So i tell him I am going to go to the hearing on my own. So he spends 10 mins asking me questions that the judge might ask me to prepare me. And just before I get off the phone Juan Flores Jr. tells me you will do great in there, just give me a call when you get out and let me know how things went. This (words I will not type due to it may cause my review to be taken down) didn't even submit my medical records. The hearing judge had no medical record to correlate with my testimony. so the judge was forced give my case a continuance. I had sent Juan Flores Jr. my medical records (overnighted at that) on the 16th of April. He had four weeks to submit them but was too lazy to do that. If you want a lawyer that will take his amateur pick up game basketball career more serious than your case this is your guy.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
