Laurie Beth Biggs

I attended the University of Michigan, where I received a bachelor of arts degree in history and political science in 2000. I received my J.D. cum laude, from the University of Kentucky in 2003. I was a member of the Journal of Natural Resources and Environmental Law, and served as its Technical Editor from 2002-2003. I was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2003.

I am a board certified specialist in Business and Consumer Bankruptcy law, by the North Carolina State Bar. I have been a Super Lawyer® in the area of bankruptcy from 2014-2018, and in 2017, I was one of only six lawyers in the state of North Carolina named in Super Lawyers 2017 Business Edition for Business Bankruptcy. I also co-authored a chapter in the Bankruptcy Manual published by the North Carolina Bar Association.

I am a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Order of the Coif, the Wake County Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association (Bankruptcy and Litigation Sections), and the 10th Judicial District.

My areas of practice include business and consumer Bankruptcy, Corporate Restructuring and Workouts, Business Law, Civil Litigation, Agricultural law, Consumer Protection Litigation, and Mortgage Servicing Disputes.
