Antoine Gerell Marshall

I've spent the last 4 months with Antoine as my attorney and during that time my experience has been: -he several times said he would look into items I asked questions on and follow up and never did either -he never advocated for nor represented my best interests; instead allowed the other party's ...attorney to make all the decisions which served their party's best interest. -he never followed up to keep me informed as to what was going on -he failed to inform me of a court date that a member of my family would need to attend and I found out about 2 days before the court date when I called to find out when the court date would be scheduled. This created a huge issue as it required taking time off from work at the last minute, rearranging schedules and making last minute arrangements for travel and overnight accomodations. -he consistently would tell me what he thought I wanted to hear instead of setting appropriate expectations -at the onset told me he had done a lot of work in my county and was familiar with how things work in my county and every time he relayed information that went counter to the expectations he had given me the excuse was, "well it appears the county does things differently" -After 3 months I was very frustrated and directly asked him to please advocate for and represent my best interest and start communicating....nothing changed. -He communicated a court date as confirmed that we were to appear at that he never scheduled and we didn't find out until 2 days before.

After contacting many attorneys in the Triangle area, Mr. Marshall was the only one to reach back out to me in a very reasonable time. I asked for a consultation and he made time for me during the bad weather and very short notice. My fiance and I were very stressed about a situation we were dealing ...with for about a month and during the holidays. We became worked up and very stressed out after being threatened and told to move or be evicted multiple times, when we knew we weren't in the wrong. Mr. Marshall was very knowledgeable about everything and made us aware of all of our options as tenants. He made us worry free and when we left the consultation meeting, we were no longer stressed about anything. I would definitely hire Mr. Marshall for future cases and we plan to if we have to revisit this case in the future.

I was given Mr. Marshall contact information by my father who is a stickler so I knew it was a good lead. I was in a contract lease that I just started and from the start I was having problem with my landlord and in the middle of my lease my landlord gave me notice to vacate the property from a date ...not with notice and let my father knew. He knew my rights were violated in many ways and I needed to seek and higher a attorney. I thought it would be a long drawn out process but upon meeting Mr. Marshall he was a take charge and had much experience in what my rights were and gave me the paths in which I was able to take and was very much on my side from the start. I believe communication is key and he had it down pat and I wanted no part with having communication with my landlord and this was not a problem as he made it fully aware that I was in the right of my lease and my landlord made many mistakes. So he was with me from the start to end and was made of ease and flow. Very fair prices as to a shock to me so that was even better. He treated me as his only client and that my needs and concerns and questions were of priority. Very recommended and will use again in the future if needed!
