He's contrary to his profile title.

After paying for a consultation with attorney David Baker, he seemed as if he had some knowledge of what I needed from him. Days later I dropped off some documents for him to look over and advise me as a potential client. I haven't heard anything from him since and its been almost a month.I had pre...viously asked him for his honest opinion and his price if he could help me. My opinion is, he isn't committed, passionate, persistent, or honest. If he couldn't help me , all I expected was for him to at least let me know and refer me to someone who possibly could.

I truly regret that you had a negative experience with my firm. I strive to add value with each and every client interaction and I work to ensure the highest level of satisfaction. I do recall your office visit and the consultation which lasted no less than one hour. My records show that you paid a flat fee of $175.00. My records also show that I did provide you with a written opinion approximately 18 days from the time you came to my office. I used the intervening time to conduct research on your legal issue. In my letter, I provided you with a statement of the law. I applied the facts of your case to the law, and I offered you my professional opinion based upon the law and the facts. Contrary to your review, I encouraged you to obtain a second opinion and I also provided you with the phone number to the North Carolina Bar Association's Lawyer Referral Service in the event that you did not know of any other attorneys who might assist you with your legal matter. I truly regret that you came away with such a negative impression. Please feel free to contact me directly to discuss your concerns.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
