Biography
Douglas concentrates his practice in business representation, estate planning, estate administration and tax planning. Douglas represents business owners during all stages from start-ups through maturity with issues including: choice of entity, buy-sell agreements, contract negotiations, and tax matters.
When meeting with estate planning clients, Douglas strives to create a comfortable environment with open dialogue in order to make certain that all of the clients' concerns and wishes are heard, understood, and appropriately addressed. Douglas not only produces well-drafted documents, but also delivers advice on "practical estate planning."
Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences people face. During these times, it is challenging to know how to handle all of the financial responsibilities and requirements of estate administration/probate. Douglas offers advice and assistance to families during these times to make the best of an otherwise unpleasant process.
Douglas graduated from NC State University in 2007 and Campbell Law School in 2014. While at Campbell, Douglas successfully completed the Business Track and won the Norman Adrian Wiggins Estate Planning Award for best performance in the estate tax and planning area.
