Laura, a native of Fayetteville, grew up with a love of public speaking and theater. As an undergraduate student at North Carolina State University, Laura decided to transfer this passion from the stage to the courtroom.
After graduating from N.C. State in 2004, Laura accepted a position as the Executive Coordinator of the Letterman Program for the University of North Carolina football team where she was affectionately referred to as “Wolfie.” Thereafter, Laura attended Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law where she earned her J.D. in 2008.
Laura’s practice is dedicated to helping those accused of crimes in both State and Federal Court. She has extensive experience in handling a variety of criminal charges ranging from Driving While Impaired, traffic, assault and various other misdemeanors and felonies in State Court to drug, firearm, and white collar crimes in Federal Court.
Laura is licensed to practice in all North Carolina State Courts. She has also been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
On the rare occasions that Laura is not in the office or the courtroom, she can typically be found enjoying the atmosphere of beautiful downtown Raleigh or cheering on her N.C. State Wolfpack.
