Thomas M. Gaylord Jr.

Mark's practice is focused in the areas of civil litigation, business matters and construction law. His experience includes jury trials and diverse matters in civil litigation including contract, business and construction disputes, as well as real estate related actions for implied easements, partition proceedings, actions to set aside foreclosures, materialmen liens and commercial lease disputes. Other litigation experience includes insurance litigation, fraud and unfair trade practice claims, guarantor liability, homeowner association disputes with developers, personal injury, vehicle collision injuries, wrongful death and collection cases.

Professionally, he served as President of the Greensboro Bar Association during 2003-2004 and has been active in committees and sections as a member of the N.C. Bar Association, including the Litigation Section, Business Law and Construction Law sections. He has been a long-term member of the N.C. Academy of Trial Lawyers, now N.C. Advocates for Justice.

Born in Reidsville, North Carolina, Mark attended schools in Cary, North Carolina and graduated from Cary High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Business in 1976 and the degree of Juris Doctor from University of North Carolina School of Law in 1979.

 As a community volunteer, he is an active member and has served as past president of the Greensboro Host Lions Club. He has been active in Lions District 31-D(now 31-O) as Zone and Region chairs, as well as multiple committee chairs, and has attended several International Lions conventions. He has also been involved in the construction of many houses as a Habitat for Humanity volunteer.
