In the Federal system, it is an entered plea on an information that shortcuts to sentencing.

If this is a Federal offense, you are only left with a Presidential pardon to clear your record.

You must work with your state attorney and your Federal attorney to accomplish this.

Yes. But the evidence may be stale and the prosecution will have problems.

The indictment remains open until an arrest warrant is served/executed. Any statute of limitation is satisfied by the indictment. Now prosecuting...
