Shaun Lendis Hayes

I recently had an opportunity to observe Mr. Hayes in a courtroom. He easily won the case for his client because the other party was pro se ( representing themselve). He had noone to compete with as far as an attorney for the side he was not representing. I'm not impressed by his winning of this cas...e and would like to see him argue a case with an actual attorney. Imo he would panic and defeat would overcome him. Imo he has his hand in with the people of the courtroom as well. Be careful.

Mr Hayes knew my first attorney had backed out a week before my court date having a conflict of interest. Mr Hayes explained one verbal agreement while pointing to a paper with a completely different agreement circled which I signed quickly because by the time of my consultation, my deadline was som...ething within 24 hours away. I told him that if for any reason whatsoever he thought he may not be able to complete my divorce would he please not take my case. Mr. Hayes did an excellent job representing me with my first deadline maybe even my 2nd. I then received a letter stating that I needed to meet with him immediately. I scheduled and attended an appointment with Mr Hayes who informed me that he was closing his office and would be keeping my $1,500 according to the circled agreement, (which contradicted his verbal agreement). This would leave me no money to retain a 3rd attorney. When I explained this to Mr Hayes, he did not show nor state any concern. I then began to explain that if you listen to the recording of our consultation- He then cut me off, raising his voice to me, questioning, "You recorded our conversation? !" When I explained that I felt I had to protect myself due to the handling of my case by my first attorney and bad consultations with 2 other attorneys, he began telling me I had committed a federal offense by recording that conversation. It wasn't until I asked him later in an email, why NC state law specifically states that if one party (That would be me) was aware of a recording of their conversation with another, the recording was not unlawful. (I'm rewording this from memory but still have all my evidence). After that, I was called into his office again being told by his absolutely excellent office workers that my check was being refunded to me because Mr Hayes had a talk with them and they realized what a hard time I was having so he had decided to refund my money. I truly appreciate all the unmatched assistance I received from his office workers whom I watched carry out all the necessary requirements of my representation during the time I was represented by that office and even told one office worker that she should become an attorney herself. I have seen few paralegals or attorneys match the work and commitment of that woman in his office.

I've used Mr.Hayes for years in 2004 I went to every lawyer all told me there's no hope that court sides with mother I went to Mr Hayes he said he could handle my case and he indeed won my case thats why I tell everyone one you want to win his your man and his girl's in his office is wonderful and th...at's why I've went back again thanks Mr.Hayes for your hard work.eye of the tiger

Shaun Hayes represented me in a child custody case and is extremely dedicated to getting the truth to shine. His persistent attitude to finding the answers and uncovering false allegations put me at ease. I would highly recommend him as an attorney to anyone who wants the matter resolved and findin...g the evidence that needs to be presented at trial or even a hearing.

If you want to win your case find another attorney. Mr. Hayes was unprepared for my case and informed me he was the day of court. I should have taken that as a big clue. During court, Mr. Hayes repeatedly made inaccurate comments. Not that they were substantial but it was a direct reflection of his o...wn admission of being unprepared. After my case went on for months I felt as if I were a burden and felt unrepresented. The office staff were rude and treated me like I was not their client. My case was lost. I would recommend you look elsewhere for an attorney.
