The Opinion of a recently former paying client. If you want to have everything in an attorney that you don’t want in an attorney, hire this fella! Like late night text that you have a mandatory court date the next morning? Like no response from the attorney you hired to represent YOU? Like sit...ting in court two days a week for him to do nothing? Then you have found the right attorney! He is your typical good ol boy in the court room but with no clout with the DA’s. In 2.5 years he did nothing in my case to help me. He is best at getting you charged with failure to appear because he nor you will know there’s a court date. He will swear to file motions and petition for your case but ultimately will not do anything besides hand you the first plea offered. I had to “substitute” (also known as fire) this POS because he wasn’t doing any work for my case. The guy can barely open his eyes when he rolls out of bed and comes into court and I’m not sure if it’s alcohol or what that keeps him red faced and full of sh*t. He has been in trouble for not doing anything for his clients before and is allegedly currently being investigated for the same things from the same body that reprimanded him before!! I have turned over all of the (Non) communication between me and him to hopefully get my money back and him to be reprimanded like he was before. If you meet with this guy I beg you to do as I did and record every conversation to pass to the ncBar when you have to do as I’m currently having to do with Marshall Dotson. There’s plenty of better options within a 3 mile radius of Marshall Dotson’s office. Please do your research unlike I did. Do your self a favor and get ANY other option as your attorney before this man screws you out of your money and does nothing for your case besides failure to appears. ***Please look up his previous Trouble for taking folks money and doing nothing else. Doesn't answer phone nor return calls, cell or office. He wasted my assets and time. I'd guess at least 2 of the positive reviews are from the same former or current employee, who is a little unhinged herself. I can tell by the her phrases and disperaging remarks of other reviewers and overzealous de...fense of him. The guy just irritates judges by continuing to push cases back and doesn't do any real pro-active work, only reactive belatedly. Makes promises that he doesn't keep. Stay away!

How many attorneys will give you there cell phone number? Let you call them any time of the day, night or weekend? Respond to emergencies at the drop of a hat? Then take your ex to the cleaners as you sit back and watch him fold like a cheap suit!?! That is what Attorney Dotson did for me!!!! An...d it did not come cheap! Once my retainer was used up...more I brought in for him to continue to help me!! No, I could not always get him everytime I called; but, not everyone gets me everytime that I get a phone call either.....I seriously get confused about the post and how anyone is allowed to just post anything they want to on the internet....he did good by me and I refer all my friends from speeding tickets to custody, he is your man!!!! I thank him from the bottom of my heart for all he has done for me!!! He got me my kids, child support, and I love when the new wife has to cut my alimony checks each month....ahhhhhh...revenge is so sweet....Raleigh handles my support now....Review guidlines state do not post hostile or insulting content....unsupported accusations....hummmmmm looks like there are some angry ex's on the internet....The wrath of Attorney Dotson need I say more!!!
