Durwood Kevin Altman

I would like to just say that Mr. Altman did a fine job of taking care of all of my legal needs. He was very knowledgeable about the situation I was in and handled it with speed and excellence. His fees were very acceptable as well as the small requirement he asked of me to Better my case. If I ever ...need legal representation again it will be from Kevin Altman.

Kevin represented me in traffic court back in 2009. He specified what my options were very clearly and gave me simple breakdown of the costs for his services. We communicated a couple times over email and Kevin was always polite and professional. In the end, he did exactly what he initially promis...ed he would do at my first consultation and I was very pleased with the outcome and the process. Despite solicitation by several attorneys, I finally chose Kevin after reading his bio on his website and feeling that Kevin seemed to be a good person as well as a good attorney. I hope I won't need his services again, but I would definitely call Kevin in the future if I needed to!

I received a speeding ticket for going 80 mph in a 65 mph zone. I called Mr. Altman, paid his fee, and he took care of everything. The ticket was reduced, no points on my license, and everyone was happy, including the state of NC who received over $100 in court fees. Mr. Altman's fee was very reasona...ble for the amount of service I received.

A few years ago, I was stopped by NC State trooper. I had recently moved to NC but, as I still owned my former residence, I had never switched over my license to a NC one. I was actually living in two states and one cannot be licensed in both. My drivers license from my former state was valid and cle...an. I had been driving for 35 years, had spotless record and was retired from law enforcement. The trooper didn't care about any of that. He ticketed me for not having a NC drivers license. This is the same as charging someone with having no license at all. That's a class 2 misdemeanor in NC and carries some potentially heavy consequences. Enter Attorney Altman. He had sent an advertisement to my home and sounded confident that he could help me. When I subsequently spoke to him by phone, he sounded even more confident. He told me that he understood why I was upset and that he could clear up what happened by going to court. He told me that I didn't even need to be there. I could hardly believe that I found someone who would not only listen to my side of things, but was enthusiastic about defending me. The fact that my good name was being smeared was important to him. He told me that he would represent me for an unbelievably small fee. So low, that I felt like I was robbing him. I paid the fee, he went to court, and by that afternoon he send me a very nice email about how things went. He had gotten the charges dismissed. My good record was restored. I wrote back to him and told him that I was going to refer him to everyone I knew in this area...and I did. I have known many lawyers in my life. Not from being in any kind of trouble, but through my career in law enforcement. I do not remember ever dealing with one as confident, capable and caring as Attorney Altman. He really impressed me, on many levels. He turned a bad experience into a good one for me. I also like that he is a family man and a patriotic American who has greatly served his country in a highly advanced capacity in the military. I rate him 5 stars across the board and only hope that he doesn't move away from here!
