Look I get it people make mistakes at first I thought I hired the right attorney for the job, boy was I wrong! I read all his reviews an was like man hes good! My court case was this am 06/18/2018 at 10 am I waited 945 i contacted him asking where he was with no reply, 1040 rolls around still no atto...rney contacted again with no reply then my name was called and I had to represent myself. After court he calls an says "sorry man I fcked up" now wont refund the $500 dollar retainer fee even though he did not do the job that he was paid to perform. I get it good reviews but take it from someone who just had 500 stolen by this man goto one of the other 1000 lawyers in winston!

I received a speeding ticket in Forsyth County. I hadn't had a traffic ticket in 30 years. I didn't know anyone in Winston-Salem or even North Carolina to take my case. Over the next few weeks, I surprisingly received several letters in the mail from different attorneys. I spoke with several of them ...but chose Mr. Altman to represent me. I was from out of town and didn't want to make another trip to Winstom-Salem just for a traffic violation. While speaking with Mr. Altman, he made no promises as to the outcome but was quite sure of the end result. I was completely pleased with Mr. Altman and the outcome. After his appearance in court, he called to tell me the outcome. The speeding ticket, 74/60 was reduced to improper equipment with zero points. If you are looking for an attorney in the Winston-Salem area, you don't have to look any further. The only other choice you can make is without a doubt, less representation. I received a flyer from Kevin when i received my first speeding ticket 2 years ago. I called Kevin and he quoted me an excellent price for his services and told me all the paperwork he needed to assist me. He kept me updated with the events happening and made it possible to where i didn't receive any... points on my license. Hopefully i don't receive any more tickets but if it does happen, i will definitely use his services again.

I hired Mr. Altman to execute 3 QDRO/DROs following my divorce in W-S. The first red flag was when he did not provide a written agreement for my $1500 payment to do the associated legal work. I then obtained model language from QDRO administrators, filled them in based on my property settlement agree...ment, and provided them to Mr. Altman. After much prodding and missing the due date, Mr. Altman simply cut and pasted my work on to court forms without assuring they met NC laws and submitted them to QDRO administrators. Subsequently, he required $2500 additional to submit them to the W-S court. Turns out he took the job with no experience with QDROs whatsoever, made a mess of it, and I had to hire another attorney in W-S to redo and resubmit Mr. Altman's shoddy work to QDRO Administrators in order to get them executed with the court. My total cost incurred with the second attorney (experienced with QDROs) was a fair $580 for the completed work that included a written agreement for work and fees up front. I generously requested that Mr. Altman refund just $1000, but he has refused to acknowledge me after repeated attempts to communicate. His unprofessional and incompetent behavior caused delays that cost me dearly and, as a consequence, I strongly advise others to be more than wary if you consider Mr. Altman for your legal work.

I contacted Kevin on a late Friday afternoon. He responded back to me that Monday morning and I had all documents faxed to him Tuesday morning. He then represented me on court that Thursday of the same week! Kevin was professional, fast, and gave me options. I'm so glad I contacted him and had him ha...ndle my speeding ticket. I highly recommend him!
