Taylor Burkhart Downs

A native of Martinsburg, Taylor B. Downs helped his grandfather on his family farm and orchard, where he learned about hard work and results. Taylor graduated from Martinsburg High School and went on to earn a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Political Science from Shepherd University. He then earned a law degree from West Virginia University College of Law in 2011.

After graduating with a law degree, Taylor started focusing on representing injured individuals throughout the State of West Virginia. In 2011, he joined Manchin Injury Law Group where he became a partner in 2015. Taylor has successfully tried cases to jury verdict and handled all types of personal injury cases, recovering millions of dollars for his clients. Taylor has earned a reputation for hard work and results, being named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine and a “Top 40 under 40” Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers since 2014.

In addition, Taylor is a Member of the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice as well as the WV Association for Justice and was appointed by former Governor Earl Ray Tomblin of West Virginia to the State Election Commission in 2013.

Taylor is a member of the South Fairmont Rotary, serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Marion County Rescue Squad, is a member of the Board of Directors for Augusta Development Corporation, is a former member of the West Virginia State Elections Commission, past fundraising chair for the United Way of Marion County, and is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fairmont.

Taylor resides in Fairmont where he enjoys spending his free time with his wife and son, traveling, cooking, and going to WVU football and basketball games.
