Joseph H. Spano Jr.

Joey Spano is also a founding memeber of Pritt and Spano Law. Joey grew up in Charleston and has been an active member of the West Virginia community for years.  He attended Concord University in Athens, West Virginia on an academic and football scholarship where he obtained his B.A. in Political Science.  While at Concord, Mr. Spano was a Presidential Scholar seven times in eight semesters.  He received his J.D. from WVU College of Law in Morgantown where he served as the Chairman of the WVU Student Goverment Judcial Board of Appeals.

Prior to founding Pritt and Spano Law, Mr. Spano practiced with the Office of the Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney for five years.  He prosecuted criminals in numerous misdemeanor and felony trials.  He spent his first two and a half years in Magistrate Court trying over 100 misdemeanor bench trials with many of those being DUI’s.  Mr. Spano also represented the State for the first year of the Kanawha County Domestic Violence Pilot Court, where he prosecuted domestic violence cases gaining much experience in Kanawha County Family Court.  Mr. Spano has spent his final two and a half years in Circuit Court practicing before the Honarable Judge Charles King, Jr.  There he handled numerous felony trials, plea agreements, probation and home confinement violations and expungement hearings.  As a prosecuting attorney, Mr. Spano has tried hundreds of misdemeanor and felony trials gaining an unprecedented amount of court room experience.  Mr. Spano has experience in criminal law, family law and DUI representation.  He is also very familiar with civil law in which he has worked on wrongful death, mesothelioma and car injuries.  Mr. Spano works with many of the top Plaintiff's Firms throughout Charleston.

When Mr. Spano is outside the office he enjoys spending time with his fiance, family and friends.  He also enjoys sports, hunting, hiking with his three dogs and enjoying West Virginia's finest craft brews.
