Neill Averill Wente

Neill Wente was as good a lawyer as I could have possibly hoped for. I received a severe speeding ticket, and was faced with potentially serious charges. This was my first time in court, and he put a lot of work into making sure I clearly understood everything and was prepared for everything I woul...d need for the day (even to the point of roleplaying the proceedings so I would know just what to say). He was quick to respond to any questions, very pleasant to be around, and was completely honest—providing me with all the possible outcomes and giving me the likelihood of each. In the end, Wente presented to the court and lowered my charge even more than what I was expecting, and I definitely would not have had much hope in my case without his help. Overall, would highly recommend!

I hired Mr. Wente for a 1st offender marijuana charge that I received in Lexington Va. Since I wasn't from the state I wanted to make sure I would be represented by the best Lexington had to offer. So I did my homework for a week interviewing other attorneys in the area and by far Mr. Wente was the b...est fit having the experience and knowledge of the Lexington judicial system. Once I explained the events that took place to Mr. Wente he immediately told me that the case was weak but we would have A up hill battle to fight. He went straight to work and made sure when I stepped foot in the court room I would have full knowledge of my options if I were found guilty. An also our game plan to prove my innocence. While on trial Mr. Wente successfully executed that game plan exposesing the lack of evidence the prosecution had. I was found not guilty and the case was dismissed. If it was not for the professionalism and experience of Mr. Wente I truly believe the outcome could have been different. A lot could have went wrong in my life if I was convicted of this charge so i was beyond satisfied with the work Mr. Wente displayed. If you need someone to be honest with you and fight for you Mr. Wente is your guy!

I can't say enough about Neill. The day I realized I was going to need a lawyer (renting an unsafe home that the landlord refused to release me from), it was 4:45 on a Friday. I called a previous landlord and she recommended Neill without a moment's hesitation. Neill let me call him after hours th...at night and was incredibly thorough, went through all the major details of my problem, and helped me come up with a plan. Unlike so many other lawyers, I don't think I ever had to leave a message and wait for his call back. He called frequently to update me or get more information from me, and talked in depth to make sure I understood what was happening and what COULD happen-- good or bad-- in the next steps of our process. In the end, he was able to get a very favorable conclusion to the case and even continued to check in with me well after the case was closed, to make sure I got the appropriate refunds from the landlord, etc. I would recommend Neill to anyone. He's a Marine through and through-- tough as nails, respectful, and loyal-- and I don't think any lawyer would seem good enough again after working with him.
