Timothy Howard Hankins

Timothy H. Hankins graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with honors in 1978 and received his law degree from the University of Richmond in 1981. Mr. Hankins opened his law firm that year on Main Street in the City of Newport News, Virginia. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.  In 2024, Mr. Hankins merged his practice with Goldstein, Edgar & Reagan and is now head of the Personal Injury Department and is Of Counsel with the firm.

Mr. Hankins, named to Who's Who in American Law, is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization consisting of attorneys who have settled a case or obtained a verdict in excess of $1,000,000. He has tried personal injury, domestic relations, divorce, and criminal cases in state and federal courts and has argued on appeal before the Virginia Supreme Court and Virginia Court of Appeals. Approximately half of Mr. Hankins' caseload consists of personal injury cases including Maritime/Jones Act claims, auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, truck accidents, slip and fall accidents, products liability, airplane crashes, electrocutions, and medical malpractice.
