I was involved in a car accident in December, 2017. All of my experiences with Kalfus and Nachman, which is the firm that Mr. Smircina is with, was on time and never had any problems with communication or delay. Hire him! He'll do good for you and your family! He was very courteous and concerned and got me the settlement amount that was fair.
Had We Known We Would Not Have Accepted Mr. Smircina
Blair Smircina was assigned to us by his firm when we contracted with them to litigate a wrongful injury case.
Meghan, his assistant, contacted us shortly after our initial discussion for a document not included with our original papers, which we sent to her.
Then eight months elapsed without a word from them.
We wondered if we had been forgotten and sent an email to Meghan requesting an update on 12/17, but received no reply. Three days later we left a message seeking status on Mr. Smircina's voicemail at the firm but he never called back. Two days on, and very worried, we recalled still having the number of their investigator (outstanding fellow) and sent him a text expressing our disappointment and frustration. He replied in minutes and said he would contact Blair. That evening Mr. Smircina emailed requesting our documents in order to proceed. We were furious at this and told him so. We re-sent the papers and made screenshots of all of our efforts in case this became a problem in the future.
Three months later Mr. Smircina sent settlement papers for the minimal coverage, saying that is all there was. We foolishly settled having since learned that was not true. We wonder now if he just wanted to be done with us for having the audacity to complain.
Never again!
