also known as Leslie A. Williams
Leslie is originally from Ohio, but spent her high school and early college years in South Florida. She graduated summa cum laude from Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina, and earned her law degree from Regent University School of Law. In law school, she served as Presiding Officer of the Honor Council, an Executive Board Member of the Trial Advocacy Board, and a mentor for other law students as part of the Academic Success Program.
Leslie's path to practicing law was not “typical.” After two years at the University of Florida, she joined the United States Air Force where she served as a military police officer. She served for four years and after the birth of her son, made the decision to stay at home full-time and return to college to finish her bachelor’s degree. For two years, she remained at home raising her son and her two younger siblings until she decided to return to the work force as a Child Support Enforcement Agent for the Department of Social Services in North Carolina. While serving in that position, her desire to pursue the law was rekindled due to her frequent court appearances. She quickly completed the remaining portion of her bachelor’s degree and entered into law school.
She now utilizes the wisdom gained to relate and advocate for her clients. Leslie knows first-hand what it feels like to navigate the court system through difficult times, which allows her a unique perspective and empathy to understand what her clients are experiencing.
Leslie resides in Norfolk with her husband, son, two cats, and two dogs. She enjoys traveling to the mountains to hike and camp, experiencing the arts through theater and museums, and eating her way through local establishments with her family. Leslie enjoys baking, reading, singing, sewing, watching Star Trek: The Next Generation and Frasier, playing Settlers of Catan, bicycling and hiking…truthfully, she loves to do a lot of different things and picking her favorite is, well, impossible!
She's excited for her clients to experience the compassion and attention she brings to their situation.
