I received a speeding ticket for exceeding the posted speed limit by 13 miles. In addition to having to pay a fine of $5 for every mile over the speed limit and court cost, I was subject to receiving points on my license and having a moving violation on my driving record. My insurance premiums were l...ikely to go up as a result of this conviction for speeding. Up until this ticket, I had not had a traffic violation in over 21 years.
