There are not enough word to describe Mrs. Amick. When I met Regina, she was my second consult. The first attorney didn't feel right. I spent an hour with Regina and it was that hour that changed my entire mind set about my divorce. Without going into the details of my divorce, I needed an attorney w...ho would fight for me no matter what. I needed someone to hear my side of what happened, to be fair as to what was due to me based on the time of my marriage and not an attorney who was going to hurry the process along to move on to someone new. Regina made me feel like I was her only client. I never had any problem with her reaching out to me or communicating back. Respectful of her time with other clients and court dates, not to mention the amount of time she gives to the community and service to her peers, I had more respect for her work life balance the more I worked along with her. I hired Ms. Amick to represent me in JDR Court at the last minute, when I originally intended to attend the hearing alone. The hearing was just another tactic in a long line of frivolous proceedings filed by the opposing party in our custody battle regarding our grandson, which was handled on my beh...alf by another attorney. I should begin by saying that I have worked in law offices for 27 years and have seen so many attorneys handling domestic matters show up to court without being familiar with the facts of the case, past or present, and simply wing it, when so much is at stake. Ms. Amick truly impressed me in court that day when she was able to present the facts, both past and present, to the Judge (who was painfully familiar with the case) in a professional manner and respectful tone….no theatrics, shaming, etc. In the end, the ruling in the hearing was in my favor, but even if it was not, I truly appreciated Ms. Amick’s ability to present the facts from a place of understanding and kindness.

This review is long overdue but nonetheless I have to review Ms. Amick and tell the world I am so grateful for her talent as a lawyer and her compassion as a person. She and her staff constantly reassured me that I would be taken care of, and I was. When you are in the midst of the divorce storm, you... need someone in your corner that is willing to fight for you and explain the process in understandable terms. Then when you come out of the storm, you are changed but for the better because Ms. Amick represented you!

Regina has been a true God send! From our first meeting on she listened to everything I had to say, understood my true reasons for wanting to relocate, and was honest with me about the process and what (and what not) to expect. She had my back at every turn, let me cry and vent when I needed to, an...d made sure I focused on the important stuff more than anything. The only bad part to wining my case is that I won't have her to vent to once we move! Then again, I do still have her number...;)
